First batch of Agniveer Course commenced training at Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre, Jabalpur, with effect from January 1, 2023. Agniveers from different parts of India have been recruited and are getting trained as per the training curriculum. The Agniveers are highly motivated and have adapted themselves to the routine very well.

Discipline and training play an important role in the life of a soldier which helps him to protect the nation in adverse and extreme situations and there is no greater truth than the saying ‘The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war’ which sums it all. Agniveers recruit scheme is a new chapter in the history of Indian Army and the high spirits and youthful exuberance of the young Agniveers proves beyond doubt that it is extremely popular amongst our countrymen. After completing training, Agniveers will join different Units deployed in tough areas and render their services to defend the nation.
