TOP-ORDER batsman Aman Mokhade hit an unbeaten daddy hundred as Vidarbha looked in command against Haryana on Day Two of their Col CK Nayudu Trophy U-25 multi-day match against Haryana at Gurugram Cricket Ground (SRNCC), Sultanpur on Monday.
Mokhade’s (174*; 320b, 26x4, 1x6) knock and his association with skipper Yash Kadam (82; 215b, 12x4) that yielded almost two hundred runs (194) for the fourth wicket took the team to 344 in 116.3 overs. Once Kadam was out at the team score of 247, Mokhade did not get any able ally. Haryana used six bowlers and all of them returned with wickets sharing the spoils.
By end of the day, hosts were 93-2 in 38 overs still trailing by 251 runs. Opener-skipper Sagar Dahiya (46*; 107b, 5x4) and Prashant Vashist (19*; 57b, 2x4) were the not out batsmen. Vidarbha seamer Pravin Rokdea took both the wickets to fall.
