M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd Hyderabad supersede Adani Transmission and Tata Power to grab the tender for construction and operation of 17 Extra High Voltage Substations in central and western Madhya Pradesh for next 35-years. Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) was signed between MP Power Management Company and M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd at state electricity headquarters Shakti Bhawan, on Monday.
TSA was signed as well as the relevant documents were handed over to M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure by MP Power Management Company in the presence of Sanjay Kulshrestha, CE and In-charge, MP State Transmission Utility. Prior to this, bid process co-ordinator RECPDCL appointed by Madhya Pradesh Government. After completing the tender process, SPA (Share Purchase Agreement) transferred to the lowest bidder M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd.
On this occasion, Ajay Srivastava, CE, MP Transco, Mohan Dhoke of MP MP Transco, CGM on behalf of MPPMCL, Shailendra Janardan, On behalf of RECPDCL CGM, P S Hariharan and Vice President of M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd, Praveen Sharad Dixit with Company Secretary N Chandrakala and other senior officers were present.
CE Sanjay Kulshrestha informed that M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd has won this contract after emerged the lowest in T.B.C.B. (Tariff Based Competitive Bidding) for construction of 17 Extra High Voltage substations for MP Transco, in which 1 number 400 KV class substation, three of 220 KV class and 13 of 132 KV Class substation is included. The 17 substations include 10 in the central region and 07 in the western region. M/s Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd has won the tender after 59 rounds of e-reverse auction process. Adani
Transmission Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India, Tata Power Company Limited and Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited were involved in the final round tender process.
In this package, the State’s first 400 KV GIS Substation of MP will be built in Bhopal, in Bhopal’s second 132/33 KV GIS of Substation will be built at HOD Bhopal. Other substations are Bisonikala of Hoshangabad district in Bhopal area, 220 KV at Shahpur of Betul district. Ka, Chhapiheda in Rajgarh district, Sodalpur in Harda district, Pathari and Bari in Raisen district, Jawarjod in Sehore district, Semrahat in Ashoknagar district. K substation, 132/33 KV at Pithampur in Dhar district. GIS of 220 KV Substation, Khargone 132/33 K.V. substations at Bhatpachlana in Ujjain district, Pipalgaon in Khargone district, Dhodar in Ratlam district, Chobradhir in Dewas district, Ambaja in Alirajpur district K substations will be built. After construction, the operation of these substations will be with M/s Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd for 35 years.
