Lieutenant General B S Raju, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, Vice Chief of Army Staff during his visit to Headquarter Madhya Bharat Area, interacted with the inaugural batch of Agniveers in the Integrated Training Area of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre (JAK RRC), on Monday.
Lieutenant General MK Das, PVSM, SM**, VSM, General Officer Commanding Madhya Bharat Area was also present during the interaction. The Vice Chief of Army Staff was initially briefed by Lieutenant General Mk Das regarding training activities in the Madhya Bharat Area and subsequently by Brigadier Rajesh Sharma, Commandant, The Jammu & Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre on the training being imparted to the Agniveers in the Regimental Centre. The visiting officer appreciated the high standards of training of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre and motivated the Agniveers to become outstanding professional soldiers. The Vice Chief of Army Staff felicitated seven Army personnel with his Commendations Card in recognition of their meritorious work. Simulta-neously, Shakunthala Raju, Vice President Army Wives Welfare Association visited the Family Welfare Organisation of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre and appreciated the projects being run for making the Army ladies self reliant.
