Combine team of Crime Branch, Kotwali and Madhotal police nabbed two bookies of Satta and seized cash of Rs 4,000, records of Satta bookings amounting in lakhs of rupees and electronic gadgets from them in two separate cases.
SHO of Kotwali police station, Rajesh Banjare informed that Crime Branch received information about a man named Shubham Siddha, a resident of near Tamarhai School who was taking online bookings of Satta at his residence on ODI Cricket match between India and Australia. Acting promptly on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Kotwali police raided the identified spot and trapped the suspected man red-handed while he was busy in taking online bookings of Satta at his residence. Police have arrested the accused Shubham Siddha (32) and seized a laptop, mobile handsets, cash of Rs 2,000 and record of Satta bookings.
 
Similarly, SHO of Madhotal police station, Vipin Tamrakar informed that acting on a tip-off, combine team of Crime Branch and Madhotal police raided a house situated near Shriram College and nabbed the accused named Deepanshu Manjhi (26), resident of near Krishna City when he was taking online bookings of Satta on ODI Cricket match between Indian and Australia. Police have seized two lists of Satta bookings, cash of Rs 2,155, two mobile handsets from the spot. Kotwali and Madhotal police have registered separate cases against the accused under Section 4(A) of Satta Act while further investigations are underway to put-up vigilant check on illegal gambling activities in district.
