RAIPUR,
BJP Spokesperson Deepak Mhaske took a potshot at the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) for delaying the release of their candidates list. Mhaske suggested that the Congress is facing internal conflicts over ticket distribution among the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and the State President, indicating a lack of confidence within the Congress. Meanwhile, the BJP had already announced 85 candidates by October 9. Mhaske claimed that Congress candidates are avoiding the public because they haven’t fulfilled their promises. He also mentioned a past incident where Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other Congress leaders disagreed on the performance of MLAs, which created confusion within the party.

Mhaske questioned why the Congress hadn’t announced tickets for at least 71 MLAs, if their performance was genuinely good. Mhaske responded to comments from the BJP’s state and central leadership, asserting that the Congress and the Bhupesh government are suffering from a crisis of confidence. Mhaske defended the BJP’s central leadership’s confidence in its state unit and noted the extensive campaign efforts, including Parivartan Yatra and meetings with central leaders. Mhaske pointed out the infighting within the Congress, with Deputy Chief Minister Singhdeo openly attacking political opponents within his party. This conflict hints at strained relations between Chief Minister Baghel and Deputy Chief Minister Singhdeo. He questioned Singhdeo’s trust in the Congress leadership, given the ongoing disputes. He accused Congress leaders, including Chief Minister Baghel, of making baseless statements out of frustration with the BJP’s success
