KOMAL Mahajan of Vidarbha Youth Krida Mandal, Katol has been selected in the Indian team for the Junior Kho-Kho Championship which is going to be held in Malaysia from October 12 to 15. The team left for Malaysia on Tuesday. Indian Kho-Kho Federation Secretary MS Tyagi announced the team. Mahajan is the only player selected from Vidarbha. Mahajan has represented Vidarbha twice in the sub-junior nationals and twice in the junior national tournaments. He has won a gold medal while representing Maharashtra in the National Schools’ Kho-Kho Tournament in Under-14 age category.

 

Similarly, he was also part of the Maharashtra junior team that won gold medal in the 4th Khelo India tournament.

Vidarbha Youth Krida Mandal President Anup Kharade, Secretary Anil Dhande, Amit Kakade, Vikram Paliwal, Sandeep Thackre, Pramod Bavane, Mukesh Pandey and others congratulated Mahajan and wished him luck.
