RAIPUR,
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken a pot shot at former Chief Minister and BJP National Vice-President Dr Raman Singh after the former Chief Minister made a harsh comment on him. The spark for this exchange was Chief Minister Baghel being spotted playing the popular mobile game, Candy Crush, during the meeting. In response to this playful act, Dr Raman Singh took to social media and remarked, “Bhupesh Ji, you have been ‘playing’ with Chhattisgarh for the last five years. Sometimes a land scam game, sometimes a coal scam game, sometimes a sand scam game, sometimes a liquor scam game, now that the code of conduct has been imposed, if people cannot play scam games, then they are playing Candy Crush only.
Amazing, in 5 years, you are at 4,400 level of Candy Crush, and your government is at 420 level. Well, don’t worry, after November 17, you will have to do this full time.” Chief Minister Baghel responded to Dr Raman Singh’s comment on social media with a touch of sarcasm, stating, “How cute Dr. Sahab! Kaise kar lete hein aap ye sab? Koi tonic wagarah lete hein kya? With family and extended family. 15 saal tak ‘Kamishankhori ka Commonwealth’ khelne wale ab aisi baatein karenge? Don’t worry! I am crushing only candies, but the public is going to crush Kamishankhors again.”
Baghel further addressed the scrutiny of his activities, saying, “Earlier, the BJP had objections to why I ride a cart, why I ride a bumblebee, why I play gilli danda, why are Chhattisgarh Olympics being held in the state? Got the photo before a meeting yesterday in which I am playing Candy Crush. Now BJP has objections to that too. In fact, they have objections to my existence. But it is the people of Chhattisgarh who decide who will stay and who will not. I will also ride the cart and play gilli danda. Candy Crush is also my favorite game. I have passed the level well, that will also continue. The rest of Chhattisgarh knows whom to bless.” The exchange between these prominent political figures added a unique flavor to the ongoing political climate in Chhattisgarh as State gears up for elections in November.
