After a gap of 15 years National Book Fair opens at St Ursula Girls High School

A country that does not have a reading culture will perish. This was stated by Dr Rajendra Patoria, said litterateur, after inaugurating the National Book Fair at St Ursula Girls High School campus on Friday. The fair is organised by Samay India, New Delhi, and is being held in city after a gap of 15-years The National Book Fair is continue till October 22.
There are more than 100 book stalls at the exhibition. Timings are from 12 noon till 9.30 pm. Narendra Parihar, senior story teller, also stressed on promoting such creative events for the development of reading culture. Praveen Bhagat, Assistant Director of Census India, also expressed his views.
 
Chandra Bhushan, Managing Trustee, Samay India, writer and journalist, welcomed the guests. In his welcome speech, he threw light on the journey of the organisation, and also expressed his views on the readability of books and their commercial aspect, saying that those who say that books do not sell in today's times should visit the fair is the answer. Children of different age groups will be able to participate in this competition. The competition is free.
