Deafness awareness event ‘Udaan 2023’ today at KIMS

 

 

 

 

‘Udaan 2023,’ a deafness awareness programme, will be conducted on October 18 at 4.00pm at KIMS – Kingsway Hospitals, near Kasturchand Park in the city in presence of Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr Mohan Bhagwat as the chief guest for the event by Speak Hear India Foundation.

 

The event will be attended by about 800-1000 people. Parents and children with special needs particularly hearing impairment, professionals like paediatricians, gynaecologists, cccupational therapists and school principals along with various dignitaries from all walks of life having a common intention of working together for this cause along with Padmashree Dr Milind Kirtane, Eminent ENT Surgeon from Mumbai will attend the event.

 

The event is jointly hosted with DDRC, Nagpur and it aims at spreading awareness early intervention, newborn hearing screening and inclusion of children identified and treated for hearing loss and users of Cochlear Implants and hearing devices/aids. The programme will witness lectures for parents, live performances from children

and a panel discussion on various topics.
