Narmada Mahotsav begins

 

 

 

The two-day Narmada Mahotsav inaugurated in a grand manner amidst the serene and picturesque marble valleys along the sacred banks of river Narmada, on Friday night at Bhedaghat. Divisional Commissioner, Abhay Verma inaugurated the Mahotsav by lighting lamp and performing worship of Maa Narmada. The festival marked a captivating and devotional presentation of the Nav Durga Stuti by Megha Pandey and her group, which left the audience spellbound. The soulful bhajans sung by Ishan Minocha also received an overwhelming response from the audience.

 

Renowned light music singer Sadhna Sargam, who hails from Mumbai, received high praise from the audience for her enchanting singing of melodious songs. Those present on the occasion included Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman, Municipal Commissioner Swapnil Wankhade, Additional Collector Shersingh Meena and other dignitaries. It may be noted that Katthak Naad Jabalpur would present enthralling folk dances, Natarang, Jabalpur Army Band and renowned Sufi Singer, Mamta Joshi from Chandigarh will perform on the concluding day, on Saturday.
