Hindu Research Foundation in association with Vishwa Mangalya Sabha, Nagpur and Maitree Pariwar Sanstha has organised Sapta Rushi Puraskar distribution ceremony on Sunday at Kavikulguru Kalidasa Auditorium, Persistant Systems, at 11 am. Individuals who have done commendable work in their respective fields will be honoured with the prestigious awards, named in the honour of ancient sages who have contributed to science, literature, medicine and technology. ‘Padma Vibhushan’ Dr E Sreedharan, Metro Man, will be honoured with Vishwakarma Award; ‘Padma Vibhushan’ Dr K Kasturirangan, former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), with Acharya Bharadwaj Award; ‘Padma Vibhushan’ Dr Anil Kakodkar, former Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission, Acharya Kanad Award; ‘Padma Bhushan’ Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Father of Super Computer, Aryabhatta Award; ‘Padma Shri’ Dr Ganpati Yadav, Wizard of Chemical Sciences, Nagarjun Award; Dr Anmol Sonwane, authority on TAVER/TAVI type of heart surgery, Acharya Sushrut Award; and Sudhakar Gaidhani, author of ‘Devdoot’, will be honoured with Maharshi Valmiki Award. Hansraj Ahir, Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes will be the chief guest in the programme.
 
Prof Hareram Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University will be special guest and, Swami Jitendranath Maharaj, Founder of Vishwa Mangalya Sabha will preside over the programme. Ruchika Jain, President of Vishwa Mangalya Sabha, Preeti Ramkrishnan, Vice President, Pramod Pendke of Maitree Pariwar, Dr T S Bhal of Hindu Research Foundation and Prashant Hartalkar appealed all to attend the programme. Office-bearers of Engineers Forum, Nagpur; Indian Medical Association, Nagpur; and Matru Kalyan Seva Sanstha are also making efforts for success of the programme.
