In a surprising action, the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of the Nagpur rural police busted an obscene dance party at the Silvery Lake Farm Resort located near Pachgaon on Umred Road late Sunday night. The operation resulted in the arrest of 37 persons, including dancers, the resort owner, and the manager, and seizure of material worth Rs 48 lakh. According to police, the arrested persons are directors of Krishi Sevakendra in Wardha and Amravati districts. The scandalous event was allegedly organised by a pesticide company for its customers who had made substantial pesticide purchases of over Rs 75,000. Acting on a tip-off about young women dancing in revealing attire at the resort, the LCB team conducted a raid on the resort at 11.45 pm and effectively busted the party. During the operation, the police seized five SUVs, liquor bottles, and Rs 1.12 lakh cash, with the combined value of the confiscated items estimated at Rs 48 lakh.
 
The accused have been identified as Rajbapu Muthiah Durge, owner of the resort, and a resident of Nagpur; Vipin Yashwant Alone, Manager, and a resident of Jagnade Chowk; Bhupendra alias Monty Suresh Ane, supplier of the dancers, and a resident of Ramtek. Among those arrested were several others including Abhay Vyankatesh Sakande, Atul Dnyaneshwar Chaple, Shubham Omprakash Pavanikar, Vishal Manikrao Wani, Ashish Natthuji Sakande, Harshal Bhaurao Malve, Vijay Sadashiv Meshram, Praveen Mahadevrao Patil, Ashok Tukaram Chapde, Kausar Ali Liaquat Ali Saeed, Prashant Dnyaneshwar Ghogde, Praveen Rambhau Bidkar, Satish Uddhavarao Watkar, Gajanan Ramdas Ghore, Mahesh Mahadev Meshram, Govind Jethalal Jotwani, Rakesh Vitthalrao Bhandekar, Avinash Shankarao Pandhara, Akash Kisnaji Pimple, and Sanjay Satyanarayan Rathi, all residents of Wardha, along with Rajesh Ramesh Sharma, a resident of Dayal Nagar, Amravati.
 
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the IPC and Maharashtra Police Act at Kuhi Police Station.
Under the guidance of SP Harssh Poddar, Addl SP Dr Sandip Pakhale, the arrest was made by PI LCB Omprakash Kokate, API Rajiv Karmalwar, PSI Ashish Thakur, Ashish Morkhade, Battulal Pandey, Chandrasekhar Gadekar, Dnyaneshwar Raut, Gajendra Chaudhary and Arvind Bhagat.
