RAIPUR,
Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis presented a barrage of accusations and questioned the credibility of the Congress. Addressing a press conference Fadnavis based on a presentation of video evidence by the BJP showcasing old promises made by the Congress party launched a scathing attack on the Congress government. Fadnavis seized the opportunity to point out the stark difference between those promises and the reality on the ground today.
Fadnavis alleged that the Congress government in the state had seemingly suffered from selective amnesia. “They don’t remember what they said earlier,” he declared. He went on to emphasise that the Congress had made several commitments five years ago that remained unfulfilled, only to make those very same promises once again in the present day. Fadnavis urged the Congress to reflect on their actions and express some semblance of remorse. In a witty remark, Fadnavis stated, “If there were an Olympics for telling lies, Chhattisgarh’s Congress government would win all the gold medals.” Fadnavis also underscored the diminishing credibility of Congress due to their continuous trail of broken promises.
As a result, this lack of trust in the party's commitments appears to be eroding their public standing. Furthermore, Fadnavis challenged Congress on the whereabouts of significant initiatives such as the Universal Health Scheme and air ambulances that were promised but seemingly never materialised. The Deputy Chief Minister urged voters in Raipur and all other constituencies to cast their ballots with determination and give a resounding mandate to the chosen candidates.
