Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always been sensitive towards women and has made efforts to provide equal rights to them. Be it the Madhya Pradesh Government of the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are continuously working for the uplift, economic and social development and empowerment of women. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the BJP government has become synonymous with women empowerment. Today, more than 1.31 crore women of the State are getting the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana started by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh. Rs 1,250 per month is being sent to the bank account of every woman by the BJP government. Madhya Pradesh government is providing loans at nominal interest rates to women associated with women self-help groups.
Chief Minister Chouhan has distributed 1,400 scooties to women groups at the cluster level in the women self-help groups’ conference organised in Bhopal on Tuesday. State General Secretary and MP of Bharatiya Janata Party Kavita Patidar said that this while expressing her gratitude to the Chief Minister for distributing 1,400 scooties in the conference of women’s groups. Patidar said that so far 46 lakh girls have been benefited under the Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana to make girls millionaires in the State by birth. The BJP government has worked to provide employment to poor women and empower them economically through women self-help groups. Lakhs of women have got self-employment through the schemes run by the BJP government for women. More than 53 lakh women have become self-reliant through more than four lakh fifty thousand women self-help groups in the State.
She said that the State Government has done the work of providing 50 per cent reservation in Panchayat elections to provide equal rights to women. Women are being given 33 percent reservation in police and other government jobs. The BJP government is giving bicycles to girls going to study in other villages. Now Chief Minister Chouhan is giving scooties to three topper students in the school, which will further improve the level of education of girls. Prime Minister Modi has recently done the historic work of giving 33 per cent reservation to women in Parliament and Legislative Assemblies across the country by passing the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where women are given so much respect that any government program starts with Kanya Puja.
