RAIPUR,
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel questioned the credibility of the BJP’s guarantees and made critical remarks about the promises made by the party. Addressing the media before heading to campaign in the Bastar region, he launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stating, “There is no guarantee of BJP’s guarantee.” He pointed to the BJP's unfulfilled promise of procuring paddy at Rs 2,100 per quintal and the pledged bonus for five years, which were not honored by the previous BJP government. Baghel asserted that the people of Chhattisgarh have faith in the guarantees offered by the Congress as people have seen the Congress government realising the promises made.

When asked about PM Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh, Baghel took a dig at the Prime Minister, noting that the promised Rs 15 lakh had not materialised. He also criticised the BJP government at the Centre for failing to repatriate black money and demanded transparency regarding the list of black money holders. He questioned whether the Prime Minister's visit to Bastar would result in assurances against the privatisation of Nagarnar. In response to BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal's comments on ‘Sanatan,’ Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reprimanded the former minister, stating that Brijmohan Agrawal did not comprehend the essence of Sanatan Dharma. Baghel emphasized that Agrawal lacked a proper understanding of Sanatan principles.

During his campaign in the Bastar region, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel addressed three public meetings at Bhanpuri of Bijapur legislative assembly constituency, Mooli village of Bastar district and Kurenga of Chitrakot legislative assembly constituency, where he leveled various allegations against the BJP. He also announced a subsidy of Rs 500 to be deposited into the bank accounts of every woman. The State Congress President Deepak Baij and other Congress leaders were present at these public meetings.
