For the past 8 years, Devta Life Foundation, a non governmental organisation (NGO), has been working for the kids below 12 years who are suffering from cancer. The NGO also organises various event for these affected kids throughout the year. On the occasion of first day of this Diwali, the NGO gave gifts and other essential products to the kids and celebrated the festival at an event held at Dharampeth.

 

The kids also painted earthen lamps to mark the occasion. Kishor Bawne, a social activist and President of the foundation; Kasturi Bawne, Vice President; Nilima Bawne, Director; Sarika Pendse, Asmita Bawne, Rashmi Shahu and others were also present. The foundation was established to promote welfare activities aimed at the alleviation of human suffering and overall amelioration of society especially for the poor. In addition to this, the foundation will also create awareness on various issues related to blood donation.
