Festive rush in trains, Rlys yet to announce spls

 

 

 

As the festival of Diwali is round the corner, rush of passengers can be easily seen at the railway stations and bus stands. Every day large number of people are looking for their ticket to visit home town. However, most of trains have full booking in advance and booking a tatkal ticket is not a cake walk for common man. Train moving from Bhopal to Lucknow and Gorakhpur has waiting till December. Even many trains are displaying the status of ‘no room’. People are unable to get ticket for Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Pune, Jammu Tavi, Punjab and Bihar route. Though every year railway declare the special trains about a month back. But this time railway is delaying the special trains that is causing huge inconvenience to the passengers. During year 2022, railway had announced more than 30 special trains.

 

Though Diwali is three days away but railway has announced only two special trains with 4-4 trips. Railways has announced 4-4 trips of Ahmedabad-Samastipur-Ahmedabad via Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni and Satna stations in Madhya Pradesh. The train 09413 will be running on every Thursday from November 9 to 30 departing from Ahmadabad at 15:3o hours. In the same way 09414 will be running on every Saturday from November 11 to December 2 departing Samastipur at 08:15 hours. Another train Dr Ambedkar Nagar – Patana- Dr Ambedkar Nagar will be running from November 9 to December 12 on every Thursday and Friday. Bhopal Railway PRO Subedar Singh said that festival special trains will begin soon. Officials are processing the additional coaches in trains.

 

He said extra pressure of passenger is there on all routes so railway is maing arrangement to run special trains. He said, additional coaches will be attach in many trains to increase the berth intake. As everyone want to go their home town during festival of Holi, berth in AC as well as sleeper coaches are pre-booked. Even people have booked their returning ticket as well that created the situation of no room in many trains. Specially in sleeper coaches, reservation status is regret while in AC-III large waiting is being displayed. There are Tatkal quota tickets available in few trains but that is too for AC-II. People who have not booked their tickets in advance are unable to get a berth at eleventh hour. Now, these people are totally dependent on special trains and additional coaches.
