A Combined team of Crime Branch and Omti police have apprehended two vehicle-lifters and seized nine stolen vehicles from them amounting to Rs 6 lakh. Arrested have been identified as Pawan Patel (22), son of Sitaram Patel, a resident of Sharda Chowk, Garha and Salman Bengali (19), son of Maksood Bengali, resident of Bengali Mohalla in Garha. CSP, Omti, Pankaj Mishra informed this while addressing a press conference, on Saturday. He informed that continuing a special campaign against vehicle lifters, Crime Branch received information about a suspected man named Pawan Patel who was earlier apprehended in vehicle lifting cases, had stored some stolen vehicles at empty plot of Chhotu Koshta in Ganga Nagar, Garha.

 

Acting promptly on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Omti police started a search and apprehend the two suspected men. In the interrogation, the accused broke out and confessed the hiding of stolen motorcycles.

On their identification, police conducted search at the identified spot and retrieved five stolen motorcycles and four stolen scooters. Vehicle lifters informed that they have stolen five vehicles from Madhotal, Madan Mahal and Lordganj areas, two vehicles from Katni and two vehicles from Nagpur.
