TANMAY Khande and Sharique Nadeem scored a brace each as Indian Friends Football Club (IFFC), Chankapur and Ansar Club, Kamptee share honours in their league match of the ongoing JSW Elite Division Football Tournament organised by Nagpur District Football Association at its Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar, North Nagpur on Saturday.
Khande gave the team an early lead in 6th minute of play placing the ball in the net on a cross made by Ayush Kesari. Both teams tried their best but the score remained 1-0 till the lemon break. In the second half, Nadeem made good use of an aerial ball provided by Sujat to level the scores in 68th minute. Ten minutes later Khande (78th) scored his second capitalising on a Geet cross from left wing to put the team ahead once again. But the regained lead lasted just four minutes as Nadeem converted spot kick given as his powerful strike touched a defender’s hand inside the rectangle. On Monday: Rabbani Club, Kamptee vs Young Muslim FC at 2.30 pm.
