A SECOND half strike from Fahad Junaid helped defending champions Young Muslim Football Club earn full three points against Rabbani Club, Kamptee in the ongoing JSW Elite Division Football Tournament organised by Nagpur District Football Association at its Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar, North Nagpur on Tuesday. Apart from Fahad’s goal, Young Muslim goalkeeper Abdulla Ansari’s role under the bar was praise-worthy as he stopped many an attempt by Rabbani forwards.

 

In a hard-fought match, both teams managed to hold each other in the first half. Six minutes into the second half, YMFC got a throw-in and Sakib Anwar provided the ball directly to Fahad. The forward dodged a couple of Rabbani defenders before firing the shot in. In the fast-paced second half, as many as four players were flashed with the yellow card.
