Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday addressed a massive election rally in support of party candidates at Badda Dada Maidan. Addressing a mammoth gathering, Shah said that where ever he visited in Madhya Pradesh, he witnessed a wave of support for Bharatiya Janata Party, confidently predicting the formation of a BJP Government in the State once again. The Union Home Minister narrated his extensive travels across Chambal-Gwalior, Sagar and Bhopal, stating the BJP wave is clear everywhere. Shah said that it is a matter of time when the BJP will form government with a resounding majority after December 3. He appealed people to vote for the formation of a lotus government, assuring that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the income support for farmers will double from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000. He also promised that post-December 3, gas cylinders under the Ujjwala Scheme would be available in Madhya Pradesh for just Rs 450, regardless of market prices. Shah recalled about his youth spent in Jabalpur, where he extensively researched the history of Raghunath and Shankar Shah during an 11-day stay in a Dharmshala in Pisanhari Ki Madia.

He underlined the historical significance of Jabalpur, citing its pivotal role in the 1857 revolution and the fight against the Mughals. Reflecting on his personal connection with Jabalpur, Shah recounted his stay in the city during his youth, expressing his commitment to the development of the region. He highlighted the choice in these elections between a Congress-led alliance, which he deemed as dynastic and corrupt and the leadership of Narendra Modi, who, in his nine years, has transformed India into a prosperous and secure nation. Shah criticised the Congress party, accusing it of building a fortress of family politics over five generations and questioned the impact of the alliance between Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh on the welfare of Madhya Pradesh. He asserted that only the BJP can safeguard the country, ensure its prosperity and elevate its honour, drawing a clear distinction between the two political alternatives.

Shah said that the people of Jabalpur triple Diwali, one they have already celebrated, another they will rejoice on the victory of BJP on December 3 and third Diwali on reverence for the legacy of Ramlala on January 22. Shah challenged the opposition to account for the funds allocated to Madhya Pradesh during the UPA government and declared his confidence in the transformative power of BJP governance under Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s leadership. Later, Amit Shah conducted a roadshow in support of party candidates in North Central and East Assembly.
