The Chhola Mandir police have booked a criminal for attacking a 36-year-old man on his head with a sword. His accomplices had also assaulted the victim with blunt objects during the incident. Police said that Naresh Sharma lives in Prem Nagar Colony in Chhola area. He had gone to a shop to buy some groceries on Saturday night. There a criminal from the locality asked him for a cigarette. When he refused to offer him one, the accused started misbehaving with Sharma. The argument escalated into a fight within a short time. Meanwhile, the accused brought a sword from his house and hit him in his head.

 

As he began bleeding, his two accomplices also joined and they also assaulted him with blunt objects until he became unconscious. Then all three ran away leaving him bleeding profusely. After the incident, the family took the youth to hospital. Later, the police registered an FIR into the matter on Sunday evening. His family told police that Naresh works in a private company. They said Nitesh is a habitual offender and he had met Naresh near a shop.
