WCR GM Shobhna Bandopadhyay along with Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts, Railway and Local Administration, Subir Malik reviewed infrastructure and safety works at office of West Central Railway, General Manager, on Wednesday. On the occasion, Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts, Subir Malik chaired a meeting with Accounts Controller, Ravindra Pattar, Additional GM, RS Saxena, Principal Finance Advisor, Naval Kishore Shrivastava, Senior DGM, Pankaj Sharma and Heads of all the departments. During the meeting, detailed information of completed and ongoing development works was given through a power point presentation. After the meeting, Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts, Subir Malik and GM, Shobhna Bandopadhyay planted sapling at garden of WCR Headquarters.

 

In the meeting, Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts, while sharing his experience, advised for optimum utilization of advanced technique and information technology to bring more transparency in official working. Besides this, he reviewed and discussed the issues on performance in infrastructure and safety with senior railway officers. Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts appreciated the power point presentation to detail about safety, security, infrastructure works, new projects, industrial development, workshops and shades, operation and financial issues.

 

Officers informed about state’s first rail fly-over between Bina Malkhedi to Agasaud completed in November 2022 and ongoing project of Itarsi fly-over on down track in November 2023. WCR has achieved several milestones in freight loading and average speed of goods train through better mobility and operation. Information of renovation and development projects at Kota, Daknia Talab and Satna railway stations under Amrit Bharat Station Yojana was also provided through power point presentation. Deputy Controller and Controller General of Accounts appreciated the initiatives of WCR for first and best for innovation, infrastructure and safety works, green initiative through promotion of solar energy and energy saving measures.
