VIDARBHA Krida Mandal, Katol made a winning start to the Vidarbha level kho-kho tournament organised to celebrate the golden jubilee of Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal at Chitnis Park, Mahal. In the district-level competition of the sub-junior group, Sahayog Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Hingna (SSPM) boys too made a positive start to their campaign. In the women’s one-sided match, Vidarbha Krida Mandal Katol defeated Vidarbha Krida Mandal Nagpur by an innings and 8 points. Samiksha Gajbe and Chaitali Gajbe played well for the winning team. In boys’ section, SSPM defeated Vidarbha Krida Mandal Nagpur by an innings and five points. Veer Bhorkar of Hingna played for two minutes and 40 minutes. Bandu Kukde too played well.

 

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by former Mayor Sandip Joshi who is also Honorary Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On the occasion, President of Nagpur Education Board Mohit Shah was also present. NMKM President Bhau Kane, Vice-President Dhananjay Kane, Vidarbha Kho-Kho Association Secretary Sudhir Nimbalkar were present on the dais. Naresh Shelke conducted the programme while Prashant Jagtap, Secretary NMKM, proposed a vote of thanks.
