PLAYWELL, led by S Chhajjed, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev emerged champions in duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar. Competing in 40 deals contest played across four rounds of ten boards each, Playwell, who enjoy the reputation of having emerged champions in many duplicate events in Vidarbha region, seized the top honours once again by scoring 64.59 VP. Team Axis finished runners-up with a tally of 42.86 VP. Their team consisted of AK Das, A Nandanwar and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali. In 20 deals MP pairs event, Rewatkars once again emerged victorious with 74.08 MP. Laxminarayan and Basuri duo walk away with second position by scoring 62.92 MP. Amit Rewatkar was the tournament director for this brain game.

 

 

Vidarbha Bridge Association will be conducting AN Roy Memorial Annual Open Bridge Tournament in their sports complex on December 2, 3. The tournament will witness bridge players from all over Vidarbha region, competing in pairs and duplicate events. The club authorities have decided to host pairs event on Saturday at 6:15 pm, after formal inaugural ceremony which will be done in august presence of Archana Bagchi at 6 pm. Duplicate event will be held on Sunday at 12:30 pm.
