A Whopping 4,000 police personnel would be deployed in city for security of President of India Droupadi Murmu, who is scheduled to visit Jagannath Temple at Rameshwari Road, GMCH, and Suresh Bhat Hall to grace RTMNU’s convocation ceremony. Dog squads and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS) are meticulously scanning all locations to ensure a safe environment during the President’s stay in the city.
 
Dignitaries, including Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar, also are expected to be in attendance. DCPs Shravan Dutt, Vijaykant Sagar, Shashikant Satav, Gorakh Bhamre, Niketan Kadam, and others have been assigned specific roles to ensure the smooth conduct of the events. Special attention is being given to road maintenance, with instructions to repair potholes along the planned routes for the President’s convoy, said Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar. A full dress rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday morning. The convoy would pass through the route from Raj Bhavan to GMCH, Suresh Bhat Hall, and the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. A company of the SRPF will be deployed at important points to reinforce security.
