Major General PS Dahiya took over as Chief of Staff of Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area, Jabalpur, from Major General RP Singh. The General Officer was commissioned into the Indian Army in July 1987 and was commissioned into the 48 Armoured Regiment. During his service, the General Officer played a key role in Operation Vijay and Operation Parakram. He was appointed as Instructor in Armoured Corps Centre and School, Ahmednagar. The General Officer was also posted as an Instructor representing India in Indian Army Training Team (IATT), Botswana, South Africa.
 
General Dahiya has commanded one of the major Armoured Regiment of Indian Army as Commandant. He is an alumni of the prestigious Defense Services Staff College and was posted as an Instructor as well in the institute. He was part of Military planning for a large number of military operations as BGS operations in Army HQ. As Chief of Staff at Corps Headquarter in north eastern part of India, he has taken many important decision to maintain peace. While assuming the charge of Chief of Staff in oldest Headquarter Madhya Bharat Area he is expected to bring an experienced and skilled leadership approach in displaying a strategic blend of expertise and experience in enhancing the country’s defense capabilities in critical border areas. Lieutenant General M K Das, General Officer Commanding Madhya Bharat Area congratulated Major General PS Dahiya on assuming charge and directed for efficient operations.
