Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving in Durg on Saturday. He will be addressing an election meeting at the Pandit Ravi Shankar Stadium, Durg. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to land at the Jayanti Stadium Bhilai’s helipad in the morning, arriving by a special helicopter. Following his arrival, he will embark on a road show from Jayanti Stadium to Durg. The main event will take place at the Pandit Ravi Shankar Stadium, Durg, where Prime Minister Modi will address the gathering. It is expected that thousands of BJP supporters and workers will attend, with the party claiming a turnout of over 1 lakh people.
Key BJP leaders, including Durg division in-charge Bhupendra Savanni, Durg district BJP in-charge Rajeev Aggarwal, District BJP president Jitendra Verma, Durg city assembly in-charge and former MLA Pritam Sahu, District BJP Vice-President Rajendra Kumar, and other prominent figures are giving final touches to the preparations for the meeting. The district police have heightened security in light of the Prime Minister’s visit. The Pandit Ravi Shankar Stadium is under the protection of special security teams NSG and SPG, and nearby shops has been temporarily closed for security reasons. A vigilant police presence is ensuring security at every corner. In light of the expected crowd during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival, the Durg Police have issued an advisory regarding parking plans and alternate routes to minimise inconvenience for the public.
