Drones to keep vigilant eye on booths

 

 

 

 

The District police are well prepared for the Assembly elections in all three constituencies of the district. This time, the police are all set to utilise drone cameras to monitor activities in the three assembly constituencies during the upcoming 2023 assembly polls. The drone that will keep a vigilant eye on polling booths has been aptly named ‘Agas Le Nanjar.’ Superintendent of Police, Divyang Patel, mentioned that all activities, including polling parties and polling booths, will be closely monitored this time.

 

This innovative step by the police administration aims to bolster security measures. The drone cameras, "Agas Le Nanjar," will provide continuous surveillance of polling stations, especially those situated in remote areas of the district, and their surrounding regions. SP Patel also told that these drone cameras are equipped with high-quality HD technology, enabling them to capture any suspicious activities and promptly transmit the footage to the control room. The security personnel and cops will then respond swiftly based on the received footage, ensuring enhanced security.
