Kudaigar tiger was successfully rescued after four human killings and an injured at Rukhad village in Pench Tiger Reserve in Seoni district, on Wednesday. Forest team managed to rescue a tiger after killing of four villagers in last 25 days but killing of a woman by another tiger on the same day created panic amongst the villagers in adjoining villages. Deceased woman has been identified as Kaliram Udke, resident of Sanvpeeth village in Kurai. A tiger killed four persons include Mitthan Lal Avthare (48), resident of Pindrai village, on October 11, Bastiram Sonvane (55), resident of Pitesur Agri, on October 13, Jaivanti Bai Pegre (55), resident of Rampuri, between October 21 to 25 while another village Lekhram Navre (45), resident of Paraspani village was injured after being attacked by tiger on October 6.
 
Additional Director General of Police (Jabalpur Range), Umesh Joga (IPS) while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed that along with the Forest Department, District Police Force of Seoni also worked hard to implement safety measures in the adjoining villages near Pench Tiger Reserve. Forest team succeeded in rescuing the tiger responsible for killing of villagers but unfortunately, another tiger killed a woman. Police personnel along with forest teams are conducting public awareness drive to avoid wandering of villagers in and around the forest area for safety measures till the rescue of another tiger.
 
On the other hand, Deputy Director of Pench Tiger Reserve, Rajneesh Kumar Singh informed that 12-year tiger named Kudaigar, who was dominating tiger in Rukhad successfully rescued on Wednesday but unfortunately another tiger killed a woman in Kurai Basti village. Kudaigar was unable in finding prey due to weak health and it started attacking human as soft prey due to abrasive canine. Deputy Director informed that rescued tiger has been shifted to Van Vihar in Bhopal while rescue operation has been started for another tiger. Forest patrolling teams are conducting rigorous search for identifying the tiger and avoiding movement of tiger near villages. Besides, public awareness campaign is being continued for avoiding entry of villagers near forest area.
