FORMER multiple-time winners Kamptee outfit Rabbani Club were on song as they thumped Big Ben Club 7-1 in their league match of JSW Elite Division Football Tournament being played at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar, North Nagpur on Wednesday. On a perfect cross from Gulam Imran, Mohammad Moil Akmal scored first goal of the match in 4th minute for Rabbani.

 

The celebrations did not last long as Swapnil Neware equalised four minutes later through a brilliant strike. Md Gulam Imran (15th), Md Rizwan (42nd) and Md Owais Ashraf (45+2) scored one each in the first half as the winners led 4-1 at the breather. Five minutes into the second half, Md Mustajab added one more. Tafseer Junaidi swelled the lead to 6-1 in 75th minute of play. Ashraf scored his second goal of the match one minute later to make it 7-1. Thursday’s fixture: Young Muslim vs MOIL XI at 2.30 pm.
