District Election Officer, Saurabh Kumar Suman held a meeting with senior officials and reviewed on-going preparations for smooth conduction of counting of votes and parking arrangements at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University. During the meeting he gave necessary instructions regarding arrangements for counting of EVM ballots, postal ballots, counting tables, on duty employees, vehicle parking arrangements, counting agents and candidates’ vehicle parking. Regarding parking, he directed to make parking arrangements behind the Indian Coffee House in the University premises. Those present during the meeting were SP Aditya Pratap Singh, Deputy District Election Officer Misha Singh, CEO District Panchayat Jayati Singh, along with all ROs and concerned officials.

 

INSPECTION OF ARRANGEMENTS: District Election Officer Suman, along with senior officials reached the vote counting location and reviewed the arrangements. He gave necessary instructions and said during the counting process, there should be no inconvenience for counting team, agents and other related officials. Hence, proper arrangements should be made to ensure smooth conduct of the counting process.

 

SECOND PHASE TRAINING: The second phase of training for counting staff and Micro Observers appointed for the Legislative Assembly elections conducted at Manas Bhavan. In the training, the Master Trainers provided practical training on EVM vote counting and postal ballot counting to the counting staff and micro-observers. During the session, information about the Election Commission’s guidelines related to counting was also provided to the counting staff. District Panchayat CEO Jayati Singh also addressed the counting staff and Micro Observers. She urged all concerned officials and staff, serving as counting supervisors and assistants, to perform the counting task with vigilance and seriousness. Singh gave instructions for conducting counting work diligently, stressing the need for alertness. She advised the counting staff to thoroughly study the guidelines issued by the Election Commission regarding the counting process.
