Some months before actual campaigning started in the State, ticket-seekers beeline at Delhi and Bhopal offices, but Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s eyes were on ground to really see what was actually is happening on the ground. As the results out on December 3 and BJP secured comprehensive victory, talks of new government and debate on Chief Minister’s name were making rounds. But as an astute politician, Chouhan is back in business and is touring the State. Chouhan is again among masses and keeps going on in field.......whether this (political yatra) will take him to CM’s post or not, time will decide? But this seasoned politician has once again stirred the State’s political cauldron on Saturday through his social media post saying ‘Sabhi Ko Ram Ram’......ahead of BJP’s legislatures meet on Monday. At a time when most of the heavyweight leaders from the BJP camped at Delhi, longest serving CM of the State Shivraj Singh Chouhan was on Kamal Nath’s turf and making a commitment to present ‘garland of 29 seats to Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’ after Lok Sabha elections 2024. He said “I have set out on Mission 29. A garland of 29 lotus flowers has to be placed around Modi ji’s neck”.

He was referring to the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024. Seasoned politician Chouhan’s message is clear he was and he is mass leader without him imagination of election is not possible. Moreover, he is not going to give up easily as the fight for CM’s post is getting intensified in the state, as political observers opine. In the aftermath of a 163-out-of-230 seats victory, the party couldn’t come to a decision regarding CM’s name. Silence of Union minister Prahlad Patel and BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on the Ladli Bahna Scheme is a clear indication that prominent leaders are not going to accept Chouhan’s anointment easily. As the lobbying against Chouhan got momentum, the latter increased his field visits. Chouhan who addressed 160 rallies during State elections, immediately after the poll results announced to go to Chhindwara. When he sounded the bugle for ‘Mission 29’, through addressing the public, he gave a message, when he said that he had barely “slept two-three hours a day, working 20 hours daily during the Assembly elections,” his efforts behind the victory of BJP in the State. He also added that they should put in the same effort to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s win a third time. Other leaders talk about ‘Modi Magic’ replying to BJP’s comprehensive victory in the State.

They all never forget to mention that it is PM Modi’s magic, Amit Shah’s strategy and JP Nadda’s booth management tips behind BJP’s victory in the State. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that big critics were saying that Congress is ahead, someone was saying that there is a close contest. But I had said before the elections that there is no close contest, it is a one-sided election. My sisters removed all the thorns in my way. Indirectly credited the Ladli Bahna Scheme for this landslide victory. Chouhan is not going to take a pause, after Chhindwara he held a road show in Raghogarh, (Another Congress big leader Digvijay Singh’s fort), Guna and also addressed the gathering. He has been continuously visiting the State since the election results. Noteworthy, to mention is Chouhan who was on Narmada Parikrama in 2016, as it had given political mileage in earlier elections.Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh in an attempt to have a new lease of life to his political career held a Narmada Parikrama in 2017-18 ahead of elections.
