Cold wave grips State

Cold waves have enveloped many cities of Madhya Pradesh as mercury continued to decline. On Sunday, dew drops were found frozen in few areas. State capital recorded bright sun on Sunday that brought relief to many. People took sigh of relief and enjoyed the sunshine almost after a week. Lowest night temperature was recorded as 7.8 degree Celsius in Pachmarhi which is lowest of the season. Temperature has been declined in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain. Current weather system is weaker now. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said that another western disturbance is being active from December 11. However this would not be affecting weather of state majorly but night temperature is expected to decline and day would be brighter. Cold conditions would be prevailing in state due to the wind coming from North.

Dense fog was recorded in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Singrauli and Sidhi districts on Sunday while mild fog and hazy weather was there in Raisen, Harda, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Katni, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Sheopurkala and Shivpuri. After Pachmarhi, minimum temperature was recorded in Rajgarh as 10.4 degree Celsius, Chindwara 10.5 degree Celsius, Betul 10.7 degree Celsius and Narsinghpur 16.2 degree Celsius.

Minimum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 14.1 degree Celsius, Indore 15.4 degree Celsius, Gwalior 12.0 degree Celsius and Jabalpur 12.7 degree Celsius. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 25.8 degree Celsius, Gwalior 26.7 degree Celsius, Indore 26.8 degree Celsius, Jabalpur 25 degree, Ujjain 27.4 degree Celsius, Malajkhand 22 degree Celsius and Pachmarhi 22.2 degree Celsius.
