NINE-YEAR-OLD pocket dynamo continues to defy the limits. Meet Raghav Bhangde, who at 5 broke 125 roof-tiles in 1 minute; at 6, climbed 102 stairs in chakrasana position in 1 minute 51 seconds and at 7, descended those same number of stairs in chakrasana position in 1 minute 13 seconds; added another unique record to his name on Sunday.
Raghav attempted to write new records for bare-hand walking that finds no mention anywhere in any record book.
The youngster walked barehanded for 100 metres in just 1 minute and 43 seconds captivating the audience and jury members alike for his new record. Jury members included Dr Dhananjay Welukar, Ex-Director RTMNU Sports Department; Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Director RTMNU Sports Department; Dr Madhavi Mardikar, HOD Department of Physical education RTMNU and Asian yoga champion Dhanashri Lekurwale.
Those who were witness to a record in the making were — Dr Subhash Chaudhary, Vice-Chancellor RTMNU; Ajit Tukhdev, President of Veda Vasudev Pratishthan; Vikas Thakre, MLA. Nagpur West; Dr Parinita Parinay Fuke Corporator; Mujib Pathan, Gen Secretary, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee; Sanjeev Sharma, Zonal Head, Heartfulness Meditation, Sriram Chandra Mission Nagpur; Masoom Dabhai, Women Entrepreneur & Director M2K Creations.
After his successful attempt, Raghav Bhangde credited his achievements to his parents Advocate Sahil Murlimanohar Bhangde and Trupti Bhangde. He has been trained under the able guidance of his coach Vijay Ghichare, President, Vidarbha Karate Association. Ghichare informed the gathering that Raghav, who has three above mentioned world records in his name, was now eligible to apply for the Guinness Book of World Records.
