TALISMANIC striker Fahad Junaid scored his 10th goal of this year’s JSW Elite Division Competition as table toppers Young Muslim Football Club (YMFC) blanked Ansar Club, Kamptee by two goals to nil on Monday. Fahad took complete control of the goal scorers table with his 10th goal and is followed by team-mate Sohrab Akhtar who now has six goals against his name, after a goal in Monday’s victory. Fahad (16th) and Sohrab (57th) scored a goal in each half to push Ansar out of Super Four contention. Before this game, Ansar needed to win both of their remaining matches to qualify.
 
YMFC, who have already occupied the top position and can not be displaced stretched their lead to eight points (24) after winning their eighth match in succession. The second placed team South East Central Railways is on 16 points while Rahul Sankrutyayan are at third (15) and Rabbani Club, Kamptee at fourth (14). All the four teams have completed the Super Four line up with one game remaining for each team. Junaid is in a fine form this tournament and has scored in seven matches out of eight which include a hat-trick against Qidwai in their opening game of the season. The only time he could not score was against Manganese Ore India Limited whom YMFC beat 3-0.
 
AL-FATEH, CENTRAL RAILWAYS PLAY DRAW
In Super Division, Al-Fateh played out a 2-2 draw with Central Railways. Al Fateh’s goal came from Rohit Patel (own Goal) in 23rd minute and Mohammad Shadab in 82nd min while the railmen scored through Steven Machado (29th) and Rohit Patel (50th).
