CONSIDERING the demand of having a sports infrastructure in South-West Nagpur, Maharashtra Sports Minister Sanjay Bansode promised for a Divisional Sports Complex Extention, on Thursday. MLC Pravin Datke has requested for a need of a sports facility in South-West Nagpur for which Swaraj Sanstha was ready to support. Chairing a meeting at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur, Bansode, enquired in detail about sports in Nagpur district. The meeting was attended by former Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Datke, Dr Suhas Diwse, Sunil Hanje, Shekhar Patil, Janardan Bhanuse, DSO Pallavi Dhatrak and former MLA Sudhkar Kohale.

 

Bansode informed the gathering that he had talked with Collector Dr Vipin Itankar and asked to go ahead with the proposed extension that will house courts and other facilities that are not available in he present complex at Mankapur.

Bansode asked for a detailed proposal to be sent to the concerned department. He also informed about starting a Sports Science Centre in the existing complex.
