The first session of newly-elected sixth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will be held from December 19 to 21.

In this regard, Secretary of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dinesh Sharma has issued a notification on Saturday late night. According to the notification, the newly elected MLAs will be administered the oath by Pro-tem Speaker Ram Vichar Netam on December 19. Election for the post of Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will be held on December 19. Former Chief Minister and MLA from Rajnandgaon Assembly seat Dr Raman Singh is likely to be elected unopposed as the Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan will address the first session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on December 20. Discussions on the Governor’s address will be held on December 21 and the supplementary budget will also be passed. Some other businesses will also be transacted on the last day of the sixth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.
