Netam takes oath as Pro-tem Speaker

Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan administered the oath to senior BJP MLA from Ramanujganj assembly seat Ram Vichar Netam as Pro-tem Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. Ram Vichar Netam is a six time MLA. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao, Vijay Sharma, Congress Legislative Party leader Dr Charan Das Mahant, former Chief Ministers Dr Raman Singh, Bhupesh Baghel, MLAs Brijmohan Agrawal, Dharamlal Kaushik, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretaries Renu G Pillay, Subrat Sahoo, Secretary to Governor Amrit Xalxo, Deputy Secretary to Governor Deepak Agrawal and others were present on the occasion.
 
Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dinesh Sharma conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Mahendra Bahadur Singh was the pro-tem speaker of the first Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. Rajendra Prasad Shukla was the Pro-tem Speaker of the second Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. Bhodhram Kanwar, Satyanarayan Sharma and Rampukar Singh were the Pro-tem Speakers of third, fourth and fifth Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly respectively. Ramvichar Netam served as a Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament from Chhattisgarh. He was a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from Ramanujganj and served as Cabinet Minister in Raman Singh’s government. In 2015 Amit Shah appointed Netam as National Secretary in his National Team.
