Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the formation of the Cabinet in Chhattisgarh is imminent while speaking to mediapersons after returning from New Delhi at Raipur Airport on Monday morning. The Cabinet is expected to include a mix of both new and experienced faces. While speaking to mediapersons at the airport, Chief Minister Sai assured to include a diverse and capable team in the Cabinet to address the varied needs of the State. He also reassured the farmers on Rs 3,100 MSP as promised under the Modi Ki Guarantee while replying to media queries about the concerns of farmers. It is widely expected that while there will be old faces, some new faces will also get a berth in the Cabinet. Party sources have anticipated many names including that of Brijmohan Agrawal, Ajay Chandrakar, Rajesh Munat, O P Choudhary and Khushwant Sahib.

 

Earlier, on Sunday, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met key BJP leaders in Delhi. A crucial meeting also took place at the residence of BJP National President J P Nadda, attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sources suggest that discussions during the Delhi meetings extended to the Cabinet formation in Chhattisgarh and after this almost the names have been finalised and the announcement may come any time. With the winter session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly scheduled to commence on Tuesday, December 19, speculation is rife that the Cabinet expansion might coincide with the session. The Cabinet formation will be of such that it is anticipated to bring new energy to the government and address the challenges facing the State effectively.
