Collector, Saurabh Kumar Suman (IAS) and Superintendent of Police (IPS), Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS), chaired District Peace Committee meeting to check the use of loudspeaker and sound amplifiers in the district at police control room. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on directions of the State Government pertaining to noise pollution equipments. Addressing the meeting, Collector, Saurabh Kumar Suman said that there is no doubt that loudspeaker and sound amplifier leads to noise pollution. There is no new law for checking noise pollution as several directions were given in regular intervals in the past. He emphasized over the directions of the Government, Apex Court and Madhya Pradesh High Court Jabalpur Bench on Noise Pollution Exchange and Control which also stated that loudspeaker, DJ and other sound amplifier equipments directly affect the working efficiency of human beings while it also cause adverse effect on health of senior citizens and children.
It is their responsibility to establish contact with eminent persons of different communities and religious heads to initiate consolidated efforts for checking noise pollution in the district. Speaking on the occasion, SP, Aditya Pratap Singh said that several major changes have been made by the followers of different religions in the past. Now it is the time to bring another positive change by checking use of loudspeakers and sound amplifiers at religious places for wellbeing of human being. During the meeting, several religious gurus, heads of religious committees, members of District Peace Committee also expressed their views and admitted that use of loudspeakers and sound amplifiers leads to noise pollution which is not good for the society.
They gave their consent for following the direction of the Government to check noise pollution. Eminent include Dr Narendra Sonu, Mufti Azam Madhya Pradesh, Mushahid Raza, SK Muddin, Mukesh Rathore, Bhure Pahalwan, Guddu Nabi, Kadir Soni, Mohammed Iqubal, Rajendra Choudhary, Rajendra Singh Chhabra along with senior administrative and police officers Additional Collector, Sher Singh Meena (IAS), Additional SP (City), Priyanka Shukla (IPS), Additional Collector, Nathuram Gond, Additional SP (Rural), Sonali Dubey, DSP (Headquarters), BS Gotharia, CSP, Gohalpur, Rajesh Singh Rathore, CSP, Kotwali, Ritesh Kumar Shiv and SMDs were present.
