Speed Kills 2 dead, 3 injured as SUV overturns

 

 

 

 

A speeding SUV spins out of control and overturned after hitting the road divider at Link Road no 1 of the State capital on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday. As soon as the accident occurred, all the airbags of the car opened. There were five people in the car, two of them died on the spot while three others are injured, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police is investigating the matter.

 

According to the information, Reedam Gupta (24) and Abhiraj Singh Rajput (24) were residents of Khirkiya village, in Harda District. They had come to Bhopal with three friends Rohit Mukati, Abhishek Thakur and Chhotu. After partying on Thursday night, everyone was going towards New Market in SUV Creta (MP04 ZH1876). As the car was driven at a high speed it collided with the divider built in the middle of the road near the Red Cross Hospital. After this, the car flipped twice in the air and landed on the roadside footpath.

 

On receiving information about the accident late in the night, the police reached the spot, took out all the injured people in the car and took them to different hospitals. There, doctors declared Abhiraj and Rhythm brought dead. Whereas the condition of Rohit Mukati is reportedly critical. Chhotu had minor injuries and was released from the hospital. The condition of Abhishek Thakur injured in the accident is also reported to be critical. The overspeeding of the car can be estimated from the fact that all the airbags of the car were opened as soon as the accident took place, yet the lives of the two youths travelling in the car could not be saved. Accidents have already happened at the place where the accident happened. After the accident, questions are also being raised regarding road construction and other agencies.
