Protem Speaker Ramvichar Netam administered the oath to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma along with other MLAs on Tuesday after the commencement of the first session of the sixth Chhattisgarh State Assembly session on Tuesday. Bastar Congress MLAs Lakheswar Baghel and Dongargaon Daleshwar Sahu, and BJP MLA Renuka Singh took the oath in Hindi. Lailunga BJP MLA Vidyawati Sidar, Katghora MLA Premchand Patel, Arang MLA Khushwant Saheb, Lata Usendi, Kedar Kashyap and Chaitram Atami took the oath in Sanskrit.
 
Kondagaon BJP MLAs Vikram Usendi, Lormi Dharamjeet Singh, Raigarh BJP MLA OP Choudhary and Kharisia Congress MLA Umesh Patel, Rampur Congress MLA Phoolsingh Rathiya, Korba BJP MLA Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Katghora BJP MLA Pranav Marpachchi, PaliTanakhar Congress MLA Tuleshwar Markam, Kota Congress MLA Atal Shrivastav, and Mungeli BJP MLA Punnu Lal Mohle, Bilha BJP MLA Dharamlal Kaushik, Beltara BJP MLA Sushant Shukla, Akaltara Congress MLA Raghvendra Singh, Masturi Congress MLA Dilip Lahariya, Janjgir Congress MLA Byas Kashyap, Chandrapur Congress MLA Ramkumar Yadav, Jaijaipur Congress MLA Baleshwar Sahu, Pamgar-Congress MLA Sheshraj Harbansh, Saraipali Congress MLA Chaturi Nand, Basna BJP MLA Sampat Agrawal took the oath in Chhattisgarhi.
 
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Dr Raman Singh:Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Dr Raman Singh on being unanimously elected as the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. Chief Minister Sai stated that Dr Singh has served as the Chief Minister of the state three times, as well as a Member of Parliament, MLA, and Union Minister. He expressed his gratitude for consistently receiving Dr Singh’s blessings and guidance. Dr. Raman Singh, with his extensive experience in parliamentary traditions and legislative affairs, is expected to bring valuable insights to the House. The Chief Minister praised Dr Singh’s easygoing, straightforward, and amiable demeanor, highlighting his ability to lead everyone together. Prior to this, Protem Speaker Ramvichar Netam announced in the Assembly that Dr Raman Singh had been elected as the Speaker unanimously. Following tradition, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Opposition leader Dr Charnandas Mahant escorted him to the Speaker’s chair.
