Cold wave continued to send shivers down spine of citizens across Madhya Pradesh. Wind is blowing for 10 kmph of speed and day temperature remained below 25 degrees Celsius in 25 cities on Tuesday. Minimum temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius in more than 15 cities. Lowest day temperature was recorded as 13.5 degrees Celsius in Tikamgarh while lowest minimum temperature was recorded as 6 degrees Celsius in Datia. Pachmarhi recorded minimum temperature was 7.2 degrees Celsius and day temperature was 19 degrees Celsius. Malajkhand remained the second coldest city. Indore recorded 4.2 degrees fall in day temperature within a day and settled at 23 degrees Celsius.

 

Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said that temperature is declining due to snow fall in northern part of country. Moisture and cold wind is coming from the north due to which day temperature declined in all parts of State. For next two days, weather will remain the same. Western disturbance is also becoming active in state on December 22 or 23. On Monday-Tuesday night, minimum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 10.5 degrees Celsius, Indore 12.2 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 7.2 degrees Celsius and Jabalpur 7.2 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, by the end of December, minimum temperature will be below ten degrees Celsius. On December 22 or 23, western disturbance will be affecting the weather conditions and day temperature will be declining while night temperature will be increasing by one or two points.

 

After December 25, temperature will be declining and people will be shivering with extreme cold condition. IMD has predicted light rainfall on December 22 or 23. On Tuesday, maximum temperature in Bhopal was 24.1 degrees Celsius and minimum 10.5 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature as 23.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 7.2 degrees Celsius while Indore recorded maximum temperature as 23.0 degrees Celsius and minimum 12.2 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature as 23.3 degrees Celsius and minimum 7.2 degrees Celsius. Lowest minimum temperature was recorded as 6.5 degrees Celsius in Umaria and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Rewa.
