DMIHER donates Rs 25 lakh to support organ donation movement

In a significant development, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research (DMIHER), a NAAC A++ graded Deemed University, has contributed Rs 25 lakh to bolster the ‘Organ Donation’ movement at Government Medical College (GMC), Nagpur. This generous donation aims to facilitate organ transplant facilities for poor and needy patients who may not afford costly procedures in private hospitals. The initiative comes as a collaborative effort between Mohan Foundation, Government of Maharashtra, and GMC, Nagpur. DMIHER took the lead by providing the necessary financial outlay to cover the expenses of counsellors appointed by Mohan Foundation in GMC, Nagpur. Datta Meghe, Founder Chancellor of DMIHER, presented the Rs 25 lakh cheque to Hasan Mushrif, Medical Education Minister, in a ceremony attended by Sameer Meghe, MLA- Hingna, Sagar Meghe, Principal Advisor - DMIHER, Dr Lalit Bhushan Waghmare, Dr Udaydada Meghe, Dr Anup Marar, Dr Ujwal Gajbe and Dr Chandrashekhar Mahakalkar.
