MOHOTA, led by Basant Mohota, S Chhajjed, Samir Roy and Anil Mohota, emerged champions in duplicate event organised by Indian Gymkhana in their premises. Competing from a field of 8 teams from Vidarbha region in 56 deals contest played across 7 rounds of 8 boards each, Mohota seized the top honours by scoring 99.20 VP. Team Axis finished runners-up with a tally of 80.40 VP. Their performance came from efforts put on by AK Das, A Nandanwar and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali. In MP pairs event, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar emerged victorious with 98.56 MP. AG Karandikar and R Goyal duo walk away with second position by scoring 97.31 MP. Anil Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game.
