NAGPUR duo of Ritika Thaker and Simran Singhi stormed into final of the Senior National Badminton Championships 23 under way in Guwahati. Playing their semi-final against Pranjal Chimulkar and P Amrutha, Maharashtra’s top pair played ruthless badminton to record convincing win. They won with identical scores of 21-11 to reach the summit clash. They played attacking badminton and always maintained a healthy lead. They never gave a chance to their opponents to get close to them.

 

It is also worth mentioning that the Maharashtra pair have not lost a single game in this tournament enroute to the final. Speaking on the occasion, Ritika said that they had a game plan in their mind before the match and that they executed it to their satisfaction. In the final, they will play with a free mind with no pressure and will put in their best for the final, Ritika said.
