Sunday morning began with dense fog in many cities of Madhya Pradesh. Temperature has saw a surge by 2 to 8 degrees Celsius in many areas due to the western disturbance in northern India. It was brighter sun in Bhopal and Indore but cold wind spoiled the warm sunlight at people’s house. Gwalior remained the coldest city on Saturday-Sunday night as temperature was measured as 7.5 degrees Celsius. Pachmarhi Hill station recorded minimum temperature as 8.6 degrees Celsius.

 

Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said that weather will remain the same for next two days on December 25 and 26. Though there is effect of western disturbance but clouds are at height due to which there are no chances of rainfall. Weather officials said that there would not be rainfall in any parts of State for next few days. On Saturday-Sunday night, Bhopal recorded temperature as 12.6 degrees Celsius, Indore 12.4 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 7.5 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 10 degrees Celsius and Ujjain 11.8 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 29.3 degree Celsius, Indore 29.0 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 24.0 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 26.0 degree Celsius and Ujjain 28.5 degree Celsius. IMD said, severe cold condition would be returning to state after December 26.
