Today, there is a crucial need for future generations of the nation to draw inspiration from this great and historic sacrifice”, said Sadhvi Gyaneshwari Didi, Guruwani Mimansak Gyani Gurmeet Singh and various speakers during a programme organized on the occasion of "Veer Bal Divas," dedicated to the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh's sons and Mata Gujri at Gurudwara Prem Nagar.
District Coordinator Ajit Singh Naiyar said on Prime Minister's initiative, "Veer Bal Divas" will be celebrated every year on December 26 in the country. During the programme, students captivated the audience with eloquent speeches and recitations, evoking a sense of awe through the recitation of heroic poetry. A poster exhibition depicting acts of martyrdom served as a central attraction. The programme was conducted by Surinder Singh Khanuja. The programme was also organized at Gurudwara Madhatal, Adhartal, Ranjhi apart from various schools.
On the occasion, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sumitra Balmiki, Dalveer Singh Jassal, Pradhan Manjeet Singh along with the heads of various Gurudwaras and a large number of devotees were present. Prabhat Pheri was also conducted on Veer Bal Divas. It commenced from Gurudwara Maiya Ikbal Bhavan under the leadership of Guru Nanak Sevak Jatha and concluded at Gurudwara Madhatal. A Kirtan Darbar was organized in the presence of Avtar Singh Banga, Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Tej Pratap Singh Bhalla and others.
